The prestigious New York City Powerboat Rally 2005 will take place on the Hudson River on Saturday, June 18th at 12:00 Noon. This Annual Boating Extravaganza, filmed and broadcasted internationally, will feature over 175 "state of the art" Speedboats and Cruisers in what has grown to be one of the largest boating events in America. The who’s who of performance boats and cruisers will be there including Cigarette, Outerlimits, Sonic, Skater, Eliminator, Hustler, Powerquest, Sea Ray, Baja, Spectre, Force, Phantom,Velocity, Sunseeker, Nor-Tech, Black Thunder, Advantage, and more.
The National Powerboat Association is proud to announce our program. We have our headquarters at Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City, New Jersey, with breathtaking views of Lower Manhattans Financial District, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. This expanded facility will give us room for many boating concessions, our Powerboat Show, and land displays, as well as dock space. This show has become Americas most exciting boating event, in Americas largest and most exciting city.
The Festivities
The excitement begins as crews from around the nation begin to arrive at the Liberty Landing Marina. The "Good Voyage" Cocktail Party will start dockside at 6:00 pm at Liberty Landing Marina, Friday, June 17th, 2005.

The Main Event
The fleet will leave from the famous Liberty Landing Marina at the Liberty State Park, home to our Lady Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, located in Jersey City, New Jersey. Starting with a spectacular view of the Manhattan Skyline, boaters will parade North on the Hudson River until the Official start at the George Washington Bridge.
The event will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday June 18th with a Captain’s Meeting at Liberty Landing Marina just opposite the Manhattan’s Financial District. All powerboats are invited to discover this experience of a lifetime! There is a five-hour limit to complete the breath taking 75-mile course. The rain date will be Sunday, June 19th.
The event will consist of 4 waves of participants:
- The 100+ mph Club
- The Speedboat Club
- The Sportboat Club
- The Cruisers Club
Four clearly marked world class paceboats will lead each group of participants to a breath taking start up the Hudson River!

The playing cards will be opened at the finish line, Liberty Landing Marina.
The Awards Ceremony
Immediately after the exciting 75-mile course the awards ceremony will begin at 2 PM. At 6 PM., Trophies and prize money will be awarded to:
- The Best Looking Boat
- The Best Looking Crew
- The Queen of the Hudson
- The Best Poker Hand for a first prize of $5000.00
The party starts again with refreshments and food at Liberty Landing Marina. Entertainment and Dancing.
