The prestigious NEW YORK CITY POWERBOAT RALLY 2004 will take place on the Hudson River on Saturday, June 19th at 12:00 Noon. This Annual Boating Extravaganza, filmed and broadcasted internationally, will feature over 175
“state of the art” Speedboats and Cruisers in what has grown to be one of the largest boating events in America. The who’s who of performance boats and cruisers will be there. From 200 mph Catamarans to luxury Express Cruisers and Yachts, have all come “on-board” to experience the thrill of running the Hudson River…New York City style!
All fans and enthusiasts are invited to view the boats and meet the teams at Liberty Landing Marina, Jersey City, NJ., adjacent to the Statue of Liberty, just opposite Manhattan’s financial district. Displays open on Friday, June 18th, 2004.
As seen on national TV, our gathering of the “Kings and Queens” of the sport has become as exciting as the run itself, with 3 parties and the poker run taking place inside a 36 hour period. This is the time to meet new friends from across the nation. Contestants come from all four corners of America and Canada.
The rally will begin at noon-time with our Patriotic Powerboat Parade up the Hudson River. We will “march” from the Statue of Liberty to the George Washington Bridge…flying our American Flags, and then unleash all of that horsepower to start the Hi-Speed Run to the Tappan Zee Bridge, which will determine the World Champion Speed King of the Cats and the World Champion Speed King of the V-Bottoms. The Poker Run will then continue on to Ossining Boat and Canoe Club, Haverstraw Marina and finish at Liberty Landing Marina.
Pleasure boating has never been so Hi-Tech and gone so fast…from the hull designs and construction methods to the engine technologies and innovations on efficiency. The NATIONAL POWERBOAT ASSOCIATION is proud to be a part of this great American industry.
